Criminal organizations thrive at liminal spaces between central civilization and no man's lands. Sourcing illegal goods from where the grasp of the law is weak, and capitalizing to win legitimate wealth in the economic fabric of urban centers.

Most novels, movies, and video games focus on violence and the character of gangsters. Indeed, these are good materials. But when the shooting stops, someone needs to take care of the organization. Hiring and managing workers, negotiating with suppliers and buyers, storing goods in secured locations, and not forgetting money laundering. All of these activities don't depict good, therefore left out of the arts.
